Sepia

the roads are grey, air thin
the essence of the day still within
and the enlightened world is ready
to be engulfed by shadows, by darkness - until the next day
it's a sepia mode of nature
glamour's inherited by trees curvatures
and every creature on the ground
and every object glittering all around
the beauty is overwhelming
pouring out of leaves
and the intimidating cloud
and this beauty knows no bounds
existing in the cold breeze,
and even in the traveller's sounds
it's not for us, mind you
it's how it always has been
only the colour greys
nature always was this way
dark by the night, bright on the day
it is just that you
(the way you lead your life)
fail to appreciate it
try to contempt the sheer beauty
sublime antiquity
the glasses, ripples - in the horizon,
finally engulf the burning sun
and the light goes away, darkness comes to stay
and this is the way it is going to be until the next day.
human, sleep tight,
it's nature's way of telling you goodnight.

The Top

When you're at the top,
Kick a stone and see it drop.
And, see how it falls and listen to the sound -
The stone makes when it rolls and hits the ground.

But, it's not the real height,
If fear of falling keeps you up every night.
Therefore it is best to stay down,
Or, yet, not to frown,

For what happens will happen the next day,
And, if you're you, the top is where you shall stay.

Let Her Be

Let her be, let her rot in vanity,
In 'Better than her is none', and such stupidity.
